Inspired by the fascination with the illusory qualities inherent in cinema. Sees herself as a film pioneer in her work. She explores the interplay between the moving and the still image, creating works that sit between the precinematic and the digital.

Baul adds movement to the single images and materials - aims to create the element of wonder at the illusion of cinema. Her work consists of videos - created by still images by creating movement, objects/sculptures, drawings, photography and installations. Her main goal is to give life to an object and to give it purpose in imaginative ways.
