The book is based around the gaze at art works and it inspired me and gave me more information about the concepts of my work. It helped me understand why and how a certain work is seen and read the way it is by the spectator.

"Yet when an image is presented as a work of art, the way people look at it is affected by a whole series of learnt assumptions about art - concerning: beauty, truth, genuis, civilazation, form, taste, status, etc." - John Berger.
